Migrate one HDD to different Storage

Hi Guys,

in our LAB we have two VMS with two differents HDD attached it to it,

lately we have attached extra storage and want to move one HDD to different storage

Disk 1  is 40 GB on the SSD Hard disk

Disk 2 is 1TB on Sata Hard Disk.

I want to move jus the disk 2 of  1TB to a different Data Store. and keep the Disk 1 on the SSD Data store.

i'Ve looked arround and saw there is a vMotion Data but its migrate the whole disk to one Data Store.

any suggestions how to do this ?

Thank you

You can use the Advanced Option on Storage vMotion to select just the disk you want migrate, take a look: Storage vMotion only one hard disk to another datastore in vSphere | ICT-Freak.nl

Yes, using Storage vMotion will do the migration with VM online and running.
