Could anyone please confirm the best method to connect a SAS tape library in the following setup?
2x Dell servers running ESXi 5.5
1x Dell server running Win Server 2008 r2 & vcenter
1x Dell MD3220i storage array with 2 ISCSI controllers, each controller also has 1 SAS port
1x Quantum i40 tape library with 2 drives, each with there own SAS port
We plan to use the single Dell server to manage the backups, but i'm not clear if we are better connecting the tape library to the Storage array directly or via a HBA on the R430 or some other configuration?
