that i can not ping any of the guest from a different system...kindly reply with proper solution...
thank you
Welcome to the Community,
how did you configure the VM's virtual network settings (NAT, Bridged)?
Do you have an AV/Endpoint protection application installed, which may block traffic?
André
Thanks for the reply.....
for both the guest i am using NAT interface.
and yes i have installed mcafee on my system but i dont think it is causing problem since i am able to ping my host machine from different devices.
One purpose of NAT is to prevent direct access to the VMs. If you want to be able to access the VMs from other systems, you either need to use Bridged networking, or configure port forwarding in the NAT settings.
André
when i go for bridged interface....nothing works. i mean even able to ping host to guest...it says destination host unreachable.
and about the NAT port forwarding thing...i dont know about....please help me with it.
thank you
With Bridged networking you need to be connected to a switch which allows multiple MAC addresses to use the same port, and all the VMs need to use appropriate IP addresses from the physical subnet. Anyway, port forwarding can be configured using the Virtual Network Editor. Select the NAT network and click the "NAT settings..." button. There you can configure port forwarding, i.e. traffic which arrives at a certain port on the host's IP address can be forwarded to a VM's NAT IP address and port.
