Hi,

could you please try to be a little more detailed on your problem?

It's pretty hard to find out what execatly you mean.

The DC is not on the network.

The DC is powered off.

The DC has blue screened.

The user is asleep.

The user has no hands.

There are many reasons, certainly more details would be helpful

What a strange question. Also several reasons for that behaviour: RDP services not running (properly) on that particular DC, firewall issue, winlogon service not properly running, locked down by group policy/local security policy, DC not properly "logged on" to the Domain and so on...

Guess it was just a test on how you approach on solving that issue (where you look first)...

And besides: What I call a 'user' is a domain user which should never be able to log on to a DC, because he is not an admin user.

That's true... Smiley Wink

I guess there was a given situation prior to that question. And without the description of the particular situation it could be nearly everything or nothing causing this.
