We have just started utilizing Hyperic as our monitoring platform, and have defined a basic escalation plan for our alerts. Every few days, our escalation plan stops working. We will get the initial e-mail stating there is a problem, but nothing more. Looking in the server.log, I find the following:
26-03-2015 09:19:55,708 EDT WARN [pool-3-thread-1] [org.hyperic.hq.escalation.server.session.EscalationRunner@64] Warning, exception occurred while running escalation. will retry 2 more times. errorMsg: org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateOptimisticLockingFailureException: Batch update returned unexpected row count from update ; actual row count: 0; expected: 1; nested exception is org.hibernate.StaleStateException: Batch update returned unexpected row count from update ; actual row count: 0; expected: 1
If I restart the hyperic server services, it seems to run properly for a few days and then this will start happening again. Any ideas what may cause this?
