I am getting this error in the events view under view administrator

Failed to perform space reclamation on machine desktop in Pool horizon-view-win8

any idea what this error is?

Hi Pere,

There are many reasons behind this issue,one of the common mistake is below

Go to you connection server and find more information related to error message, for this you can refer below file

"C:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\logs\log-yyyy-mm-dd.txt"

ERROR <PendingOperation-vm-A> [ServiceConnection25] Permission to perform this operation was denied.

ERROR <PendingOperation-vm-A> [PendingOperation] Error reclaiming space for VM ..........

If you see these entries make sure the affected user is having below permission from View

Solution: Virtual Machine -> Interaction -> Perform wipe or shrink operations [update existing role with this permission for View]
