Unable to start the VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager Server services from protcted site.

Dear All;

Actually I was trying to start the VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager Server services but they were not starting.

I have attached snap below. I checked for dependencies but even I did'nt found anything about it.

And this issue is occurring consistently.

Hi Pratik,

Can you view the Windows System log and the Windows Application log for more details?

Also check the contents of the SRM logs

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102180...

This article contains the location of the SRM logs on the server where SRM is installed (in this case wherever you have services open in your screenshot 😉

Have a look in the log folder for errors corresponding to the time you try and start the service.

Regards

Chris

I've had something similar recently at a site that has been around for a while..

Check your sso admin account/password.

You may find that it has automatically expired after the default 365 days, or been locked for whatever reason.

Once you reset that you should be good to go again.

You can look into C:ProgramData\VMware\VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager\Logs\vmware-dr-<int> log file and paste the error log which you are getting while restarting service.
