Hello!
I have Datastore 'VMs_Backups' at '\VMBackups\CustomFolder' which contains non registered in inventory '*.vmx' files. I'm trying to convert these files to the ovf format from Windows with ovftool but can't get URL working.
So I have tried this
c:\Program Files\VMware\VMware OVF Tool>ovftool "vi://user:pas@172.16.0.10/ha-datacenter?ds=[VMBackups] /20141020211502/WEB-1/WEB-1.vmx" c:\ovfs\
and other combinations and all the time I'm getting the error:
Error: Locator does not refer to an object: vi://user:@172.16.0.10@172.20.0.17:443/ha-datacenter?ds=[VMBackups]%20/20141020211502/WEB-1/WEB-1a.vmx
Completed with errors
What I'm doing wrong?
Is it possible to export non registered VM to OVF format (Vsphere GUI client does not allow)?
