Horizon 6 View without Active Directory

Hi,

I've a configuration with 2 ESXi servers and a server standalone with Win 2012 and here is installed vCenter.

I need to install Horizon View 6 for 5 Thin client only, and I haven't installed Windows domain and Active Directory.

How can I install Horizon?

I read that a prerequisites is AD.

Can you help me?

Thanks

You could install the Direct Connect agent instead, that does not require an AD but you will not be able to do any brokering.

Thanks Linjo,

but it's necessary the license anyway?

I've got this license: VMware Horizon View 6 per concurrent user (10) or is it necessary to buy another license?

Thanks

No, that license should be fine, no need to buy more unless you have more then 10 concurrent users.

Sorry Linjo,

but I can use this my license on more servers?

I need to permit the RDP on 4 servers, can I use this license on both servers or I've to buy one license (10 users) for every server?

With Horizon I need only this license.

Thanks a lot

If you have the license that you wrote earlier: "VMware Horizon View 6 per concurrent user (10)" then you are allowed 10 concurrent users to 10 virtual machines.

Its a bit confusing when you now start to mention 4 servers and using RDP...

Could you describe exactly what the goal is and what you want to do?

Hi Linjo,

I've another question.

Is it possible to use View Agent Direct-Connection plugin for VM linux?

Or better, if I've VM linux, can I use Horizon?

I'm reading the systems requirements, and I see only Microsoft operting systems.

Thanks in advance

No, Horizon View Agent only supports Windows Operating system,

But the View Client works almost any operating system,
