Hi,

I have standalone vco 5.5 deployed on windows 2008 server with db configured on external 2008 sql server in npn. I want to move db instance from existing sql server to prod sql 2008 server and rename the db. Can i ask simply backup the db instance and restore it to prod sql server and rename it there and make changes under "database" view in orchestrator configuration web page?

Hello,

I just did this 2 weeks ago, here are the steps

Stop Orchestrator services (Server and Configuration)

Create DB backup from <OLD_SQL_SERVER> \ <DATABASE_NAME>

Restore DB backup on <NEW_SQL_SERVER> \ <NEW_DATABASE_NAME>

Start Orchestrator Configuration service

Reconfigure Orchestrator to point at <NEW_SQL_SERVER> \ <NEW_DATABASE_NAME>

Reconfigure Orchestrator for new DB account (if required)

Start Orchestrator Server service

Validate via Orchestrator GUI
