I upgraded vCenter Server 5.1 to 5.5
VCENTER now has insufficient memory and CPU resources.
I see there are instances JAVA.EXE consuming most of the resources, this is normal or can be improved.
I extended server resources to 8 CPU and 24 GB RAM.
RAM used is about 97%, is very slow and sometimes hang up
I have 2 questions:
How do I can fix it?
If MV VCENTER do I remove and create a new one to install VCENTER I should consider?
How big is your vCenter environment?
I took a quick peek at our vCenter server (Windows 2008) and it shows about 7 processes for Java, however only 1 of those is using more than 1GB of memory the rest are small around 120-250MB of memory.
Yours does seem excessively large.
same problem here, don't see a resolution?
