how to optimize Veam Backup Speed ???

I have small  environment in which i configured Openfiler as a iSCSI Storage. I configured Vmnic load balancing on vmkernel  ports (Vstroage1 , vstroage2)  attached to on of ESXi.

Please verify is it correct Vmnic load balancing for iSCSI storage ?

With the current network configuration the 3 vmnics are shared by storage, management as well as VM traffic which is not the best practice. Anyway, what's the backup target, i.e. does the backup use the vmnics too in order to transfer the data to the backup target?

I'd start troubleshooting by running esxtop from the ESXi host's console, to determine the load on the vmnics during backup.

Hi,

I see the bottleneck stats are indicating source. But to better understand if the configuration is correct, you first need to tell how the backup is configured:

- what mode are you using? Forward or Reversed incremental?

- veeam proxy is a VM or a physical server?

- what connection method is used? DirectSAN - Hotadd - Network mode? You can see this by selecting a VM on the left in order to see more details of the running job
