    Email - No Date Header

    tiananicola Lurker

      Many thanks for this very useful job.

      I've successfully configured it within VMA; the only issue for me is that the mail message is sent away without a date header. In some situation where I manage the mail server I can bypass this disabling the date-header check, while simetimes the message is rejected by mail filtering tools/servers.

          An Auto-Update: with a great help from my friend Stefano that deals friendly with perl I got the following solution.

          Edit the script and go to sub emailReport

          Add the following line:

          ...........................

          $smtp->mail($EMAIL_FROM);

                      $smtp->to(@EMAIL_TO);

                      $smtp->data();

          ------->    $smtp->datasend("Date: " .giveMeDate('MDYHMS') . "\n");

                      $smtp->datasend('From: '.$EMAIL_FROM."\n");

                      $smtp->datasend('To: '.@EMAIL_TO."\n");

                      $smtp->datasend("Content-type: multipart/mixed;\n\tboundary=\"$boundary\"\n");

                      $smtp->datasend("\n");

          ............................

          This will give the message a proper date header
