Passed VCP-IaaS (5.1)

Sat and passed the exam today. Took me about 45 minutes and I scored a 340. Not stellar, but I'll take it since I don't use vCloud on a daily basis.

Just wanted to say that Chris Wahl's videos on Pluralsight and the standard blogs (Duncan Epping, etc.) were extremely helpful. I also heavily utilized Shane Williford's IaaS Study Guide and the Blueprint in the hours leading up to the exam, which helped. And, as always, having a lab was invaluable. The hardest thing about vCD and a home lab is the networking aspect. It's difficult to test a lot of networking scenarios in vCD without the presence of a real switch.

Without getting too specific, I would say to make sure you know your vCloud networking inside and out, up and down, and all around. Know specifics and know when and how to apply them.

Excited because now my VCP5-DV is renewed as well.

Good luck to anyone else doing the same!

Thanks for the feedback on the exam and congratulations on your new cert.  Definitely the way to go to renew existing VCP or persue VCAP.
