MBP Retina randomly turns off display in Fusion Tech Preview 2014

My MacBook Pro Retina Display 15-inch 2013 has been functioning great for the last 9 months. Shortly after installing VMware Fusion Tech Preview 2014, the MacBook enters display sleep at random while I use the machine. For example, I was typing "server.py" into Sublime Text on my Mac when all of a sudden, my MacBook entered display sleep. The workaround is to press the keyboard to wake the Mac up again, but it is quite jarring to have random display sleeps while using your machine.

      System information:

      MBP Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013

Processor  2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

      Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

      Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)

      Latest VMware Fusion Tech Preview

      On battery power.

I have looked for information related this in the Console, crash reports, etc. and have turned up empty. It is very strange.
