Extremely slow file transfers on nested ESXi.

Hi. Performence issues!

Running a ESXi 5.5 lab (nested) on a Dell Poweredge t20, and then speeds are Intel Pentium G3220 3.1 GHZ and 20 GB of RAM.

Running 8 VMs that are idle.

Server 2012r2 - DC 512 MB ram

Server 2012r2 - Edge 1 GB RAM

Server 2012r2 - Svr1 1 GB RAM

Server 2012r2 - DC/DNS 512 MB RAM

vCenter Appliance ver 5.5 4 GB RAM

ESXi1  GB RAM

ESXi2 4 GB RAM

When i transfer files to my NAS from my Computer I get 906 mbit. When I am using my NAS as iSCSI or NFS share, and creates a VM on the server I get like < 10 MB sec (megabytes per sec), and that is very slow. Deployed vcloud appliance before, and it took 40 min, and  the appliance is 1.8 GB. Installing Windows7 on a share storage takes for ever to, 40-50 min. The drives I am using on the NFS/ISCSI share are Samsung SSD.

Anyone have any idea why I get such a slow transfer rates?

Can you post the vmware.log file for one of your ESXi VMs? (I assume both are slow.)

Generally, it will be found in the same folder that contains the VM.
