We have a really complicated issue with SSO. We are using VCenter 5.1 U1a and have tried to upgrade the whole VCenter to the last 5.1 U2a version, because of compatibility issues with our backup software and antivirus system (we are using vshield endpoint and edge in our environment).
Every time we tried to upgrade the SSO service, the included JRE and the connection to Inventory service/VCenter do not work anymore. We have tried the KB 2041528 several times, but it didn´t work.
Now we have decided to reinstall and reregister the SSO as described in the KB 2033620, but we are struggling about the VShield Components in this case.
We can see that there is an application user for VShield Manager in the system. We have really big problems if we loose the VShield configuration.
Does anyone in the community had to deal with the same issue?
Nevertheless i would appreciate if there is a step-by-step explanation for this reinstall and reregistration of the SSO service?
