Cannot connect the virtual device ide1:0 because no corresponding device is available on the host.

Do you want to try to connect this virtual device every time you power on the virtual machine?

Yep...

After booting

Warning : Virtual device ide1:0 will start disconnected.

Beats me what ide1:0 is ...

Does anybody out there has a clue?

TIA

Probably it will be the Virtual CD Rom of the VM, that it was originally connected to a physical CD on the originating host on the IDE channel 1, lun 0

Now, you are running the VM on a host that the CD rom is not on that position (probably, your cdrom is now on sata)

Anyway, to make it easy, check the virtual cdrom settings on the vm

Ah.. a little while ago I 've built in a new hd.

As I was running out of SATA connectors (all positions are occupied by hdd's) I had to unplug the SATA connector of my CD-ROM

and link that one to new internal hd. I can't use the CDROM anymore.

I'll check it out.

Maybe I should disable it.

I still have a CD-RW drive connected though.

Thanks!
