Hi Vicky,

So I am assuming that the VM is still up and running. Can you goto the VM datastores and see if all the vmdk's and files are present there.

Also you may want to take a look at the article below, the problem was solved there.

Unable to connect to MKS: Virtual machine config file does not exist

Thanks,

May be caused by DNS, If you use the FQDN name of ESXi host, try to add the ESXi host as IP address.

Hi Vickie,

Sure, here are the steps, first simple remove the VM and then re-add it. Then try to open and login to console. Mind it, this will all be done in VM Shut down mode.

1. First select the Virtual Machine and identify which Datastore it is running on.

2. Shut down the VM.

2. To remove VM form Inventory --> Simply right click and Select "Remove from Inventory". (Make sure you don't select the other option "Delete from disk" accidentally).

3. Now goto that Datastore in the point 1 above.

4. Open the VM folder and look for .vmx file.

5. Right click on it and select "Add to inventory"

6. Select the required options in the Wizard.

7. Once added, Power on the VM.

Let us know if this works or not. If not then we'll move ahead.

thanks,

I'm not able to find the vmdk&vmxf files in physical host at this path  "/vmfs/volumes/NAS_DS-02" and data store.

Could you please help how to fix this issue.

Hi Vicky ,

What is the output of Step 3 the Disk file path location ?

Is NAS_DS-02 your datastore name ? In that data store you will find vmdk file in the VM Folder.

Hi Mustafa,

The vmdk file is not available in the NAS_DS-02 data store path. Could you please let me know if vmdk file not available whether we can make up the VM with existing data.
