Move VCenter Server to New Datacenter

Hi All,

I have a question that requires a little help if you will. We have a 5.0U3 vcenter and we would like to move it to another datacenter at the same site. The new datacenter resides on new SAN that is not connected to the old SAN.

For the life of me I think im losing my marbles. We need to get this vcenter migrated to the new datacenter as soon as possible..

Thank you,

Hi, i'm asumming that your vCenter servers is a virtual machine, that's right? because, if is a physical server... at first sight i can't see problems

I'm trying to understand:

- You need to migrate the whole farm? or only vCenter Server?

- Can you obtain a ESXi host with access to both SANs (old and new)? This hosts can be a member  of the actual cluster?

- If you have a host accesing to both SANs, do you have license for sVMotion?

Ok I actually came across an answer. Export VC to an OVF and do an SCP from the destination host.
