Hi ginger8990,

You can create a local user via command line on the suse linux appliance, but not sure if that user can access the web client.

yes I did create a users using SSH but it didn't show up in vCSA web client. I tried to login the ESXi host through web client , where vCSA sits on but I don't see the user I have created. I found this article but I cannot find where to login vCSA web console: http://www.virtualizationadmin.com/articles-tutorials/vmware-esx-and-vsphere-articles/general/config...

Need help!!!

Hi ,

login to vcsa via http://IP_of_your_vcenter:5480  and login via user root password: vmware .

You can follow the steps mentioned in the article link you provided.

when you configure vcsa to authenticate via AD, you'll need to provide permission to group from AD , so that users from that AD group can login via webclient.

But I just cannot login using port 5480, not sure which port is used and set up by the original server owners. Any way to work around?  What is the commands to  add permission in vCSA suse linux? Do you know? I can login through SSH command line and add users but the user has no permission to login web client.

Hello, as you are running vCSA 5.1, you will need to create local users on SSO admin interface.  Login into SSO and you will have the option to create users on the SSO database.
