Folks, Hi

we are trying to convert two physical windows server win2k3 sp2, and using converter 4.3 to migrate it to vsphere 5.1

1st) if there is any FAT file system please uncheck it and also check VSS working fine 2nd) add your vcener and esxi host ip and name in to w2k3 server hosts file configuration. make sure you have enough space in data store. try again now

This is the server log. Upload the worker and the agent log. It is also good to know what the error message is and at which point of the conversion it has occurred.

There are no errors in this agent log, the warning in the beginning does not affect the conversion per se.

Perhaps you have installed converter on the source machine. In this case the interesting one is the worker log.

You can attach files after clicking on "Use advances editor" above the box you type on the right side.

It seems the worker could not connect to the agent on the source machine. Check your firewall settings. For details have a look at the user guide about the ports used (p.25).

In general it is recommended to use the latest converter (5.5). It is also helpful to give more details when a problem arises - e.g. at what stage the conversion failed.

Unfortunately I can't use VMware converter 5.5 because the target physical system is windows 2003SP2, if the system Windows 2003 R2 then I will go with this option.

Don't worry about that, it works with 2003SP2. This is an omission in the docs.
