EVC Mode - Intel Merom Gen - Xeon E5345 - E5-2690 - The host cannot be admitted the cluster's current EVC mode. Powered-on or suspended virtual machines on the host may be using CPU feauters hidden by that mode.

Hello everyone,

I can not enable EVC mode on Cluster.

The processors Xeon E5345 and E5-2690 are compatible with EVC mode for "Merom" generation.

The error of a specific host in the cluster is:

The host cannot be admitted the cluster's current EVC mode. Powered-on or suspended virtual machines on the host may be using CPU feauters hidden by that mode.

How can I determine the virtual machines that have enabled these CPU feauters?

Its very hard to know if they are using the CPU features or not, that's why this warning exist.

Shut down/migrate the vm:s before enabling EVC mode.
