I installed VMware Player, latest version (6.01) under Win7Pro 64bit and Ubuntu 12.04.3 64bit.
I installed some virtual machines. In all I have shared some folders. Unfortunately, in those Win, any version, I can use these folders in Ubuntu Linux machines, any version, I can not under any circumstances. In both cases I installed VMware Tools.
Ubuntu VmMachine launches an error that the network is not join. The message ': "Unable to mount location" "failed to retrieve share list from server". I also tried with the antivirus / firewall disabled. Win the machines safely instead see the VMware network with both Windows and Ubuntu as Host. Ditto for groped to share a partition or an entire disk. Sometimes as soon as I try to add the partition or whole disk to Vm error: "Internal error". The problem arises under both host operating systems.
Someone has my same problem? Someone can indicate a solution?
