REST Plugin HTTP Proxy

I see the new preview version of the SOAP plugin allows you to use an HTTP proxy  on a per-endpoint basis. Is there a new version of the REST plugin coming which has these capabilities, or is there another way to achieve this with the REST plugin?

We are about to release version of the REST plugin with same capability.

It is not published for technical preview yet. I will let you know once it is available.

Can anyone confirm if this is still true?  HTTP-REST plugin version 1.0.8 on vCO5.5.3, I am trying to use proxy setting to add a host and consistently failing on remote host's cert validation step. This connection uses SSL.
