VMWare Workstation 7.1.4 and 7.1.6 crash with VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: Unexpected signal: 6

I am getting this error on two different computers. Both are running Debian lenny/sid with Windows XP as the guest OS.  I have other systems running the same configuration computers with Workstation 6 that do not have this issue. Below is a clip from the log. Any thoughts as to what I should look at?

From the backtrace, this looks like it may be the following X11 bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20254.  Are your X11 libraries up-to-date?
