NFS to VMFS, VMFS to NFS

Hey guys,

We are running into some issues with our storage performance. Basically i want to know if anyone of you guys have worked or implemented these scenarios. I need to know the performance when a VM is Storage vMotion-ed from NFS to VMFS datastore and vice-versa.

ON what considerations should we measure the performance?

The protocol makes little difference on performance. It's mainly the architecture behind the array, the network, and if the use of file based storage is supported with the workload (such as with SQL clustering or Exchange).
