Where does Chargeback report fetch data from?

The Usage or Cost report for a hierarchyis generated based on the policies and queries that we set. Where do these data reside? VCenter Server DB or VCB DB? Is there a way to peek-a-boo the entire universal content of the database, to reuse them for a certain reason?

The data is received from vCenter DB, vCD DB and also vShield DB.

All these data will be stored in chargeback DB. You could access/query the Chargeback DB and fetch the data from there. But i'm  not entirely sure if its a good thing to do.

Actully I am integrating chargeback with a 3rd party tool and for that purpose I need to fetch the datas to the 3rd party Dashboard to display the final cost report ...

So I want to know what are the possible ways to achieve the same .. Please help me with that .. :smileyplain:

Naineyess,

   Accessing Chargeback database directly for any reason is not recommended and not supported. Please use Chargeback APIs to retrieve data from Chargeback.
