Have you seen this workaround;

A service does not start, and events 7000 and 7011 are logged in Windows Server 2003, Windows Server...

How is your storage configured for the virtual environment?

You need to Increase the service timeout period.

To resolve this problem, use the Registry Editor to change the default timeout value for all services.

You need to have Administrators privilege.

To change the service timeout period:

-Click the Start button, then click Run, type regedit, and click OK.

-In the Registry Editor, click the registry subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control.

-In the details pane, locate the ServicesPipeTimeout entry, right-click that entry and then select Modify.

Note: If the ServicesPipeTimeout entry does not exist, you must create it by selecting New on the Edit menu, followed by the DWORD Value, then typing ServicesPipeTimeout, and clicking Enter.

-Click Decimal, enter the new timeout value in milliseconds, and then click OK.

-Restart the computer.

Hope this helps!!!

SatyS

Hi, thanks for you answer.
All VM are configured in a Datastore in a NAS.
We have this problem only with a RDS (Terminal Servers)

Thanks

Same things happened on my serves. Two 2008R2 terminal servers, vmware 5.1. Tried lot of things. Finally replacing network cards solved the problem. changed E1000 networks cards to vmxnet3, cloned MAC address of old card to new card which has license server role on it. Assigned IP addresses static again. Rebooted servers and no more event 7011 or 56.
