    Does vMotion/iSCSI on separate VLANs need a route?

      Hello. I have a new HA cluster and a new SAN.  If I set up vMotion on one VLAN(16) and iSCSI on a different VLAN(17) and there is no route between the two, when I send a vMotion or Storage vMotion request does there need be a route between VLAN 16 and 17 so that they can talk to each other or do they do their job confined to their VLAN?  I think the answer is no, they do not need a route and stay in their own VLAN, but I’m trying to find something to back that up.
