How do you deploy the java application? Are you just copying some files?
Then it should work fine, ThinApp does not care how the changes have been made between the pre and post snapshot, it could be by an installer or by moving some files.
yes the program is merely a java executable file that is jsut copy and paste.
I thought that the thin app compiler would pick up file system changes but I guess it doesn't. This is what I do.
- Open Capture program
- Run pre-scan
- Copy application fiels to the C: drive
- run post scan
All it picks up is IE, cmd, and regedit
Those are the debug entry points - looks like ThinApp didn't realize that this executable should be an entry point.
It should be possible to add it manually by editing the package.ini.
I think you can also prompt ThinApp to create an entry point by adding a shortcut to the executable in the Start Menu or on the Desktop.
(Between the pre- and post-scans, obviously.)
