Hi AKhalifah,

VMware have just released 5.1.10 of VDP. One of the fixes is for the Windows Server 2008 R2 Disk UUID issue.

See https://www.vmware.com/support/vdr/doc/vdp_5110_releasenotes.html

Instructions for upgrading VDP can be found on Page 27 of the latest VDP Administration guide

http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vmware-data-protection-administration-...

Try this and see if it resolves your issue.

Thanks for info. Upgrade to 5.1.10 solved my problem with continuous failing W2012 backups.

What errors you are seeing with Win 2012 backups ?

There were no errors in VDP Report tab, nothing more as "status failed".

I could see Create and Remove snapshot messages in W2012 VM tasks but no errors.

Is some other place I should search?

Did you see a backup job associated with a Job ID ?

If so, you can grep for errors from the specific log file.
