Network/CNA Adapters Compared? Emulex vs. Intel vs. ???
Trying to find anyone that has done any independent testing or real experience with NICs on vSphere 5, of specific interest is latest Emulex versus latest Intel 520 series? There a lot of documentation that Emulex and Intel has released, but looking for any insight anyone has beyond the usually marketing. We use Emulex, and have geen getting a lot of queries about using Intel, but everyone asking us to change to Intel... you guessed it, just came out of product roadmap or marketing presentation from Intel or Emulex, vica-versa. If anyone has compared the two and/or other NICs, and would like to share findings? No need for extensive detail, but what was tested, how (briefly), and why a specific brand was deemed best based on your actual results/testing? Thanks.
