Dear:
I Use Esxi5.1
I instal vsa Manager OK and run.
BUT, I shutdown 2 Host ,retart the host that contain Vcenter.
But the VMware VirualCenter Server can start(in service ,it set as delay start)..
I had try use stop IIS , or restart vCenter Sign on Server ,
final;y restart VMware VirualCenter Serve manually.
BUT ,I did't work. and how some message like
VMware VirtualCenter Server service with service-specific error system can not find the file specified........
Message in win log as 7024 from server control manger
and with a monent ,VMware vSphere Profile-Driven Storage Service Sutdonwn by itself...
so ,How to do it?
q2. should I set getway in vsa installing?
the getway is necessary?
thx.
Try starting the service after disabling IIS Admin and World Wide Publishing services.
Steps are available in this article.
dear :
THX for your help,BUT I had did it before I post this question.
It didn't work.
i also show the message".....................and refer to service-specific error code 2" and Event ID=7024
So,Is there any other soluation?
as I restart VMware VirtualCenter Server ERROR,THE VMware vSphere Profile-Driven Storage Service shutdown too.
the Log as below:
Beacuse I use 10.1.X.X net, I didn;t set real dns for HOST

I have the same issue (I think). After (clean) install on Win2k8 R2 VM, I start up the server. It worked fine, I was able to logon via the vSphere client. To increase performance. I stopped the vCenter Server service, shutdown the machine. I doubled Memory from 8gb to 16gb via vSphere client directly on the ESX host.
When the server came back online, the vCenter service would/will not start.
I checked the forums and several documents (Checking ODBC DSN, NSLOOKUP)
My log looks as follow :

I tried a lot of things but nothing seems to help.
Please Help
Were you able to resolve this issue? What was the fix?
Also having the same issue.
VMware, any thoughts on this?
Thanks!
Is the SSO service running?
Can you try re-pointing the VC/Inventory service etc to SSO and check?
If a repointing does not work, uninstall and reinstall SSO and then repoint the VC/Inventory service etc back to SSO and check
I had this problem, and found my RSA_USER account's password had expired. The SSO service started, but couldn't properly service the VC/Inventory service.
hi mhanson1147,
Thanks for the hint, works for my case.
thank you very much.
