Hey,

I have the problem, that i can't connect with my USB HDD (it's an Western Digital Passport with 500GB).

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

It could be quite a few different things however without adequate technical information it's a total waste of time trying to diagnose/troubleshoot! Smiley Wink

What Host OS version?

What VMware Product and version?

What Guest OS version?

What Manufacture Make and Model Number of the Host System?

What Manufacture Make and Model Number of USB Device?

Is the Host System USB 3?

Is the USB Device USB 3?

Is the USB Device employing any type of Encryption?

Is the USB Device visible to the Host OS?

Is the USB Device connected directly to the Host System or to a USB Hub connected to the Host System?

If the USB Device is USB 3, then as a workaround, have you tried connecting it to a USB 2 Hub before connecting it to the Virtual Machine?

Are the any Flags showing on the Hardware Tree in Device Manage or any Error messages Event Viewer if Windows or if Linux anything showing in any Logs that might point to the issue?

Archive (compress) the vmware.log files for the target VM into a single .zip archive and attache to a reply.
