Update Manager ESXi 5.0 to 5.1

anyone else experiencing any issues updating 5.0 to 5.1? we are running cisco UCS with powerpath 5.8. i have tried with both the standard vmware iso and the cisco customized ISO and update manager seems to not like the environment.

update manager reports the upgrade incompatible because powerpath is installed, yet it is compatible and scans and remediations take an absurdly long amount of time.

anyone seen anything like this in their environments?

Hmmm... I read in the release notes of PP 5.8, that it is supported only from ESXi 5.1 EP1. Can you confirm if this is the version you are trying to upgrade.

To confirm on the long time taken, can you post the esxupdate.log for a better understanding where the process is getting stalled? Or are you performing any heavy IO during the update process which could include rescans also.
