View Pool Provisioning Fails

I'm attempting to pilot VMware View as an alternative to XenDesktop and I'm having a problem when I attempt to create a pool.

Running through the create pool wizard I'm able to create the VM's and get all the way through the customization process.  However the whole procedure ends up resulting in an error.

View Composer agent initialization state error (22): Failed to mount persistent disk (waited 0 seconds)

If I look in vCenter, I can see the persistent disk is attached to the new VM's.  However, I'm not able to log into any of the VM's.

Given this is my first attempt at View.  I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting.  A couple of Google searches return nothing on this specific error.

Thanks.

I received this same eror message. Check on the General settings tab of the pool configure that the Persistent Disk drive is mapped to a letter that is not in use on your golden image. I have gotten in the habbit of always setting this to P: as it's not a drive letter we use in network drive mappings or anywhere else.

This should be because the "Drive letter" that is selected by default (during Pool Creation time) is conflicting with a Drive Letter inside the VM.

Revert the Parent VM to the snapshot that is being used for desktop provisioning. Then Power on the parent VM and check the Drive letters.

Now while creating the pool and while choose Persistent Disk configuration ensure the drive letters are not being used by Parent VM for other mounts.

After following all the post no Joy.

Simply uninstalled re-installed the View agent on the Golden.

Provisioned smoothly after this.
