when used capacity of our VDP exceeded 80% I've changed retention policy of backup jobs from default 60 days to scheduled 10 days + 4 weeks + 3 months + 1 year. I supposed backups (restore points) not fit this policy (eg 11-13 + 15-20 ... days old) would be deleted automatically. But new backups were added and all old ones remained as well. I had to remove them manually.
What is the mechanism of retention policy, please? Is any document descibing it? It worked with VDR.
