vMA 5.1 WebUI not working

Hi,

I can't access to WebUI of vMA. The reason is vami-lighttpd is not listening to the ipv4 address:

netstat -tulpen | grep 5480

tcp        0      0 :::5480                 :::*                    LISTEN      0          6822       3250/vami-lighttpd

Why is this appliance wrongly configured by default and why does nobody else expierence this problem obviously?

And most import: How to correct this issue?

TIA

Roland

Just ran into the same issue and had to set the option server.use-ipv6 to "disabled" instead of default enabled in /opt/vmware/etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf to make it listen on IPv4 instead.

Quite the bummer.

Are you currently using an IPv4 address or IPv6? I have IPv4 setup and I'm able to connect to the VAMI interface via https://[address]:5480
