I've just upgraded vCenter Server Appliance. Along to http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2033990 the new appliance could assume the network identity of the old appliance. Hostaname of the new appliance changed but static IP remains the same I set for deploying. Both old and new appliances were using static IP's.
Should I change hostname to fit DNS? Or better should I change IP to fit hostname? Or should I let it be?
