How to measure Cluster capacities

I am looking for a trustworthy way to see how much more VMs our Cluster(s) can hold. I am looking for an aswer like so many VMs, vCPU, RAM. Is there an easy way to determine that? Is it a calculation (amount od cores and RAM in Cluster?) or can I get the info somehow from my vCenter Server? :smileyblush:

generally its difficult to say how many Vm's you can accommodate in a cluster but in a development and less critical environment you can assume1:4 cpu ratio and RAM can be over committed but its not a good idea to do that because that can create trouble in long run and may reason in performance.
