New or upgraded device drivers – ESXi 5.0 Update 1 adds support for Native Storage Drivers for Intel C600 series chipset and upgrades LSI MegaRAID SAS driver to version 5.34.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The new update now has support for the Intel C600 chipset.

I am using an ASUS server with a Intel C602, with built in RAID.  After creating a RAID volume using the intel utility on boot, VMware does not see the storage devices.  Even if I leave the drives out of a RAID set, it cannot see the drives.

I have to turn off RAID in the motherboard in order for EsXi to see the drives.  What I would like to accomplish, is create RAID1 sets, to host my VM's.

Does the support for the C600 chipset mean that RAID using that chipset is supported?  If so, how do I get esxi to see the raid sets?
