restore shadowprotect image to esxi

Had anyone successfully restored Storagecraft's Shadowprotect image to ESXi 5 without having blue screen for Win 2008 R2 VM?

If yes, how did you do it?

Yep
create a 2k8R2 VM with sufficient disk-size using LSI-SAS controller
boot into ShadowProtect LiveCD and restore image into the new VM

first boot then goes into a 2k8 R2 recovery CD
then load the System-hive of the system on disk and set LSI-SAS driver to start at boot - see my notes

i have the same issueat the following link http://communities.vmware.com/thread/412427

i thought i had done what someone else had done in one of your ither threads, i though i was loading the hive from the boot cd but after double checking i seem to be changing the c:\ of the boot hard drive the value is 0.

any help awelcome as i am totally stuck on this one.
