Select VM -> WS Menu -> VM or Right mouse click -> Manage -> Clean Up Disks...
I still not seeing the cleanup-disk option. At this moment I'm using the July TP and opening ( not powered on) Debian 6 guest on an openSUSE 12.2 host.
From the VM -> Manage Disk Menu I see:
Change Hardware Comptatibility , Clone, Upload . Delete form Disk , Share and Message Log. Am I looking in the wrong place??
Here is a precise screenshot to locate it:
Note I did not need to upgrade or modify my guests in any way. Most of my guests are 6.5 compatible.
I think I reclaimed like 10 GB of space already.. Super nice, and works pretty quickly.
I kind of wish I knew precisely WHAT it was doing though, and why this doesn't "naturally" occur when you shut the machine down or kill snapshots or whatever.
Said a different way.. I wish I knew why these fragments existed in the first place, then what's going on in the cleanup utility.
But, nonetheless, happy to have it exist. Very nice.
Unfortunately this feature is not currently available on Linux hosts.
