SAP GUI and PDF Files

Hi All,

we are trying to thinapp SAP GUI.

We followed the VMware Solution Readiness document "Virtualizing SAP GUI with VMware Thinapp".

But when we are trying to open some PDF documents, we received a error message : "The system cannot find the file specified" pointing to the SAPGUI.dat file (see attachement).

Any idea on how to link a local (physical installed) PDF Reader with the thinapped SAPGUI ?

Thanks for your help !

Hi Buijspa,

Can you try adding the below lines in the SAP GUI package.ini and rebuild the package?

VirtualizeExternalOutOfProcessCOM=0

ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions=AcroRd.exe
ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault=Virtual

If you are running on 64 bit, change AcroRd.exe to AcroRd32.exe
