This request has come up before, but I'd like to remind the team that it would be highly convenient to pause VMs in unity mode--without having to exit unity and pause the console. I realize that it has tricky parts (e.g. what happens when a user forgets they've paused the machine and tries to work with a window, etc.). One work around could be that pausing is allowed, and that the pausing process minimizes all windows. Another option is for vmware to store the list of open seamless windows and their parameters (location, etc.), then switch automatically to a minimized and paused console. The vmware icon could change colors or have an overlayed || , and clicking on it would reverse the process (unpausing, switching to unity, and restoring the windows).
