vCOPS has stopped collecting data

Hi all,

Ive been running vCOPS 5 now basically since release, upgraded to the latest version and everything has been fine.

But for the last few weeks ive noticed that data collection has stopped,

I fixed this once by restarting the vAPP but its happened again and a restart isnt working.

the collector log is basically full of "Unable to find object in cache group-n25" and "Event collection from VC was not successful"

All previous data is visable but anything for say the last few days there is nothing, this is notacible straight away when looking at the dash the alarms graph stops before the end etc.

this vCOPS instance is looking after 4 vCenter servers, which has about 200 hosts and 3500 vms. Im on a protected site so cant upload logs.

just cant see where its falling over, the collector errors mean absolutely nothing as I have no idea what group-n25 or n6 are and it doesnt tell me which VC.

There is 2TB free for the database, the account it uses has full rights, other services are using the vcenters so the SDK is up and running.... haha its really quiet annoying.

anyone seen these errors before? and another question if I was ro unregister a VC and re register does the data remain, I know it did for capIQ but not sure about this product.

Cheers

Ok I think I solved the issue but now I have another one,

Looks like one of the ESXi hosts was having time issues and the UI vm had moved onto that one, hence the issue with data as it was about 10 hours ahead.

I fixed the time, restarted the vAPP, now the whole thing is broken!! haha.

if I log into admin page i get General Server Error Occured, and all licencing and staus are Unknown.

Made sure time on everything was correct and it was.

man its not playing ball today
