newbie question: problem adding hard drive to existing VM

I'm running esxi, 5.0.  i created a 1TB LUN in my san using unisphere.  i see the datastore in vsphere.  i tried adding it as another drive to my windows 2003 server.  it would be G drive.  but it never shows up in "disk Management".  i've done this before on my 2008 servers.  not sure why its not showing in 2003.

thanks

Hello and welcome to the communities.

Did you add it as a virtual disk or a RDM?

Does the VM's properties reflect the disk being there?

Did you rescan the storage in Windows, after adding it?

vmroyale probably nailed this already but...

Did you install the Microsoft iSCSI connector and configure it properly in Windows?
