Can anyone explain in detail regarding Cross stack Ethernet?

Link aggregation (defined in 802.3ad and 802.1AX) must be between just two switches, that is: all links from one switch must end up in one single other switch. This is true for both physical and virtual switches.

Some vendors have created their own propriarity solutions to overcome this, and these non-standard methods could be called cross-stack etherchannel. In a ESXi scenario it would typically mean the possibilty to have one vSwitch with IP Hash load balancing and this would connect to two physical switches with this non-standard possibility.
