Hi

Why many comanies go with Thin client rather than Zero Client?

Is Thin Client can reduce some load on host or what?

Thin clients can be re-used for purposes other than VMware View, such as other vendor's VDI solutions. Zero clients are tied to the PCoIP protocol, so in theory if the company wanted to change solutions, they would have to get rid of all zero clients which would be a large waste of resources.

However, ultimately, zero clients are a better solution and provide a better experience.

I'm not sure which one companies perfer but I imagine each company is different.   The thin client may allow you to use some exisiting tools since it has an OS and it may also also alllow you to take advantage of View client side chacing.     The zero client means you don't have another OS to manage and patch.   There are probably a lot of reasons to go with one or the other you just have to weight out the options and see what works best for you.

Some of zero client are supported change VDI vender, like PANO LOGIC

I've never used Pano Logic devices, but zero clients such as Wyse P20, EVGA PD-02, Dell FX100 are all PCoIP-only. It looks like Pano Logic is a little different from the rest of what is classified as a zero client. Interesting, thanks for the heads up.
